(More customer reviews)In short, the product is useless, I've just tried it for the first time in the red sea, it doesn't return depth except for a second or two and it loses the reading again, although we were above about 60 to 90 feets at all times. I tried changing the sensitivity settings several times, I checked the transducer depth level many times according to the manual, I even read the manual on the boat to try to find what's going wrong! And if it doesn't return depth, I couldn't trust the occasional fish readings that pop up from time to time, especially when it's useless without the depth reading.
The worst thing is the device turns off automatically after 5 min if no depth reading is found, once I turn it on again, I'd have to setup all options again (sound on, sensitivity level, battery settings, etc) because it doesn't save settings!!
Anyway, it was useless, the sea was so calm, it had no problem getting a reading, but it didn't. so I wouldn't recommend this product.
One more thing, the rubber grips on the device sides went off on the first day of using the device, behind it I could tell that a very cheap glu was used.
Save your money.
